Kasseler Verkehrs-Gesellschaft AG

The KVG stands for environmentally friendly mobility. With its buses and trains, it ensures that more than 150,000 passengers in the city of Kassel and the surrounding area reach their destinations comfortably and reliably every day.

In June of 2010, the KVG converted all of its buses, those of its sub-contractors as well as all vehicles of its parent company KVV-GmbH to be CO2 neutral. The streetcars of the KVG have already been climate-neutral since the fall of 2007, with electricity from hydro power. Kassel is thus the first city in Germany to run CO2-neutral buses and trams.

Services

  • With 80 streetcars and 76 buses, the KVG transports nearly 46 mil. people to their destination every year - 365 days a year and nearly around the clock: a climate-friendly service for a mobile, vibrant city.
