GVZ Projektgesellschaft Kassel mbH
Wirtschaftsförderung Region Kassel GmbH owns a 50% share in GVZ-Projektgesellschaft Kassel mbH (GVZ-P), and the municipal districts of Fuldabrück and Lohfelden each own a 25% share. We are a special purpose entity that owns the container terminal at GVZ (Güterverkehrszentrum) Kassel and the respective main tracks. The container terminal is operated by the Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Intermodal Services GmbH; the regional railway company Hessische Landesbahn (HLB) is responsible for track maintenance.

- The container terminal handles up to 52,000 containers and semi-trailers a year
- Every week, seven to eight trains leave for the Hamburg and Bremerhaven sea ports; another five trains a week connect the Kassel container terminal with Europe's largest railway terminal in Verona/Italy.
