The Kassel Volkswagen plant in Baunatal is the largest component plant in the Volkswagen corporation. The location is a competence center for the fields of transmission manufacturing, alternative drives (electro-traction), casting, hot working and exhaust system production, as well as for aggregate processing. With approx. four mil. transmissions annually, the location supplies nearly all corporate brands in the automobile sector. Nearly half of the transmissions built in the corporate group come from Kassel. Sales of original parts & service secure mobility with more than 450,000 original parts worldwide.
