In the region of North Hesse, 21,4% of all workers subject to social insurance contributions are employed in the mobility economy. This economic sector is characterized by more than 7,100 companies, 76,300 workers and €13,6 bil. in revenue. This makes it the strongest economic sector in North Hesse.
With the highways A4, A5, A7, A44 and A49, the GVZ Kassel, the Beiseförth Container Terminal and Kassel-Calden airport, which is currently under expansion, the North Hesse region has an exceptional transport infrastructure.
